This is a complete retrofit replacement kit designed to convert a Jauch 77 / J-77 (Emperor 100M) Westminster chime grandfather clock to a modern German-made Hermle 451-050 (94 cm) mechanical movement.
This kit saves time, money, and guesswork by including everything needed for a proper conversion. The supplied Hermle movement arrives factory-oiled and ready to install out of the box, offering improved reliability, long-term serviceability, and readily available replacement parts.
Detailed instructions are included, and email and phone support are available if you need assistance during installation.
Kit Includes
-Hermle 451-050 mechanical grandfather clock movement
-Set of black serpentine clock hands
-Wood shims
-Mounting screws
-New pendulum hook (for wood stick pendulum)
-Chime weight filler / insert
-Installation instructions
Important Installation Notes
-Weight Insert Required:
The included weight insert must be installed in the chime weight (right-side weight when facing the clock). The original Jauch chime weight is slightly too light to reliably power the Hermle movement.
-Dial Mounting Modification Required:
The original dial mounting posts are not positioned correctly for the Hermle movement. These posts must be removed, and the dial must be mounted directly to the clock case or wood mounting frame.
